This is something TNG fans won't want to miss. The entire cast of Star Trek:TNG is reunited for an episode of Family Guy to air on Sunday March 29th. If this preview is an example of what is to come, it should be hilarious and something not to be missed.

This is very exciting news as many (including myself) did not get to see this on stage. David Tennant and the RSC cast of Hamlet are going to shoot a film version in June. Read the full story at the London Telegraph.

Cool New Amnesty Video

I've been an Amnesty International member for the past few years, and even raised a bit of money for them during Blogathon 2007 but this is one of the cooler ads they've done yet. Its a message for President Obama, very tongue in cheek at the beginning with the serious proposal at the very end. Narrated by Patrick Stewart, a long time Amnesty International supporter/spokesperson. Watch.

Another video for Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen fans is the Royal Shakespeare Company's Stand Up for Shakespeare campaign. Also participating are Judi Dench and David Tennant. Watch.

Waiting for Godot

What I wouldn't give to be able to see Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen on stage together! I can only hope they will bring it to the USA after completing its run in the UK. UK dates are from March 5 until April 30. Dates and theater information are available via the official site.

Father & Son

031592.jpgOne of the things I find fascinating about watching favorite shows on DVD is discovering things I missed during the first viewing. This weekend I watched one of my favorite Star Trek:The Next Generation episodes, The Inner Light. Picard lives an entire lifetime as Kamin as a result of a telepathic link with a mysterious probe. In this alternate life, he has a wife and family. His real life son, Daniel played the son of this alternate persona Kamin.

This was not the only time Patrick and Daniel acted together. Daniel also had a small role in the movie Death Train as a Soviet officer. They also appeared on stage together in Johnson Over Jordan. Recently Daniel played Phileas Fogg in a stage production of Around the World in 80 Days (New York Times review) and his father dropped in for a visit.
