My hubby and I went out for a nice brunch at the Maui Prince Hotel. It is a champagne brunch kind of affair, so not something we do very often, but I’ve been bugging him to make reservations and he finally did last week, LOL. Anyway, I’ve been remiss in posting photos from Maui so after brunch we drove around with the top down (it was a gorgeous day) on the miata and took some photos. I’ve put them in a few different locations, so you can browse them at your leisure. The ones at craterdweller.com have been resized to 1024x768, for space reasons and can be found here. The hi-res versions are over at Flickr in the Maui Set. Just to keep things simple, I plan to keep adding new pictures into their respective Maui galleries (rather than make a new gallery each time.)
Note: My hubby took most of these (except the few from the beach at the Maui Prince) while we were moving, LOL. We tried to include some shots from around town but didn’t get a very good sampling. Maybe next time

Tom Petty's latest cd, Highway Companion, is a solid, if unadventurous effort. There's nothing wrong with finding a sound that works and sticking to it, but I would have loved to have heard him reach and try something new. That said, there are some very nice sounding tracks. If you are only going to buy a few tracks, Saving Grace, Square One, and Big Weekend are probably your best bets although I am often finding myself queuing up Jack for another listen.
I’ve upgraded the backend software of this site to Movable Type 3.3. Please let me know if you experience any weirdness (hopefully the comments still work!). I’ve also uploaded a few more 100x100 icons. Those that are on livejournal have seen these, but I wanted to gather all my icons in one location. I should be adding wallpapers soon.
I’ve got a few more boring backend/admin details to cross off my To Do List, but then hopefully I will get back on track with more regular updates. I’ve been toying around in my head with an idea for a new Picard/Crusher music vid so stay tuned.

Between being busy at work and discovering that I’m a little rusty at the whole music vid thing (this is my first one in six months) I’ve not been around too much lately. Hopefully, I’ll get caught up on everything soon. I know it’s a little early, but I may wind up working late the next few days.
Well without babbling on too much, here’s the vid, Change the World by Eric Clapton. A bit different from last year’s I think, but hopefully still fun for everyone. I’ve included both a windows media player and quicktime version, although I’m not sure how well Adobe Premiere Elements did with creating the quicktime files. The filesizes on the quicktime ones are pretty enormous but I don’t know how to fix that with this program. I apologize if I missed anyone in the credits (I probably did).Comments/feedback always welcome.
Please download to your local computer (should just be able to right/option click and Save As). It is kinder to my bandwith and you’ll get a better playback.
