A new official site for Patrick Stewart’s one man show of A Christmas Carol just went up. It promises a section called Patrick Stewart’s Diary coming soon. Be nice to see Patrick Stewart join the blogosphere if only for a little while.
Performances run from December 6 – December 31 and tickets are on sale now (purchasable online at the official site). He’s planning a Q&A with the audience after the December 11th show. If you are going to be in the London area I think it would definitely be worth seeing.
A bit of news from the PSN:
"At absurdly short notice I am presenting A Christmas Carol in the West End next month at the Albery Theatre, where I did Master Builder. It will open Dec. 6th and play until the 31st. Only 23 performances."
Tickets go on sale on Monday. If you’ve never seen his one man version of this, it is outstanding. I was fortunate enough to catch it at the La Jolla Playhouse in 1994.
Normally each year my husband and I buy one new ornament for the Christmas tree. We haven’t been doing this the last few years since live Xmas trees in Maui are outrageously expensive and often pretty ratty looking. This may just be the year we break down and buy an artificial tree. For one, we are renting a house so actually have some nice places to put the tree. And secondly, I just ordered this ornament. (Star Trek fans beware, Resistance is Futile).
